The Sunday Reset - Inspired by Peppermint [Mentha piperita]

A guide to embracing the new week

Fresh. Brisk. Clarifying.

Known as the refocus oil, peppermint is crisp, cool, and awakening. Its scent clears mental fog and helps reset your energy. Think of it as a deep breath for the mind, and for your rooms.

A natural insect-repellent, it brings a sparkle to glass and surfaces and leaves a tingle in your senses.

A ritual reset

Spray our Natural Glass Cleaner (infused with peppermint) across mirrors and windows. Wipe slowly, watching the reflection sharpen and the light catch. Breathe in the scent: clean and invigorating.

Growing a mint cutting in water is as easy as rooting a plant in soil. Just place the stem's cut end into a cup of water and change the water every few days. When you see roots appear, plant your mint stems in some potting mix.

A nature reset

Step onto your balcony, into your garden, or a nearby green space. Look for mint, or any wild, herbaceous green. Rub a leaf between your fingers and inhale deeply. Carry that freshness with you wherever you go for the rest of the day.

Thought for the week

“Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influence of the earth.”

Henry David Thoreau (a founder of the Transcendentalist Movement)
