A Koala Eco Clean - tackling the trickiest household appliances

We’ve all come to love natural, eco-friendly products for everyday cleaning—benchtops, sinks, shower glass. But when it comes to heavier household tasks, there’s still a common myth that only harsh chemicals can get the job done.

Not true. Harsh doesn’t mean effective. Our plant-based, biodegradable formulas are designed to exceed—the performance of conventional cleaners. No toxic residues, no overpowering smells. Just nature doing what it does best.

Here’s how to use Koala Eco to tackle three of the trickiest household appliances—naturally.

How to Deep Clean Your Microwave

Microwaves tend to bear the brunt of food splatters and spills. The good news? A deep clean doesn’t require synthetic sprays or elbow grease. Just steam, soap, and a little Koala Eco magic.

To restore your microwave:

• Steam first: Combine 2 tbsp of vinegar or lemon juice with 2 cups of water in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 5 minutes, then let it sit for another 15. The steam will soften any stuck-on food and grease.
• Clean the turntable: Remove it and wash with our Natural Dish Soap.
• Wipe down the interior: Mix 2 tbsp of Natural Dish Soap with 2 tbsp water. Use a damp microfibre or bamboo cloth to clean the interior surfaces and door. Rinse and wring out the cloth to remove any soap residue.
• Polish the exterior: Lightly spritz with our Natural Kitchen or Glass Cleaner, then wipe down the door, handle, and keypad.
For maintenance, a quick spritz with our Kitchen Cleaner every few days keeps things fresh and hygienic—no harsh chemicals needed.

How to Deep Clean Your Oven

Ovens often get neglected until absolutely necessary—but with the right method, keeping yours clean is easier than you think.

Most conventional oven cleaners are packed with toxic ingredients—exactly what you don’t want where you cook. Koala Eco offers a safer, just-as-effective alternative.

Here’s how:

• Prep the oven: Wipe away loose crumbs with a damp cloth.
• Degrease naturally: Mix equal parts Natural Dish Soap and water in a bowl or spray bottle. Apply generously to the interior and racks. Let it sit for an hour to soften grime. For tough, baked-on messes, preheat to 150°C, switch off, and let it cool before cleaning.
• Scrub and rinse: Remove racks and wash with the soap solution. Use a damp microfiber cloth with our Stainless Steel Cleaner to wipe down the interior. For stubborn areas, use a non-toxic scourer.
• Final wipe: Finish with a clean, damp cloth to remove any residue, then replace the racks.

A Simple Way to Keep Your Fridge Clean

It’s easy to forget about the fridge—until it smells off or something spills. But a little weekly upkeep goes a long way toward keeping it fresh, safe, and running efficiently.

Try this quick clean:

• Declutter: Toss anything expired or unused.
• Clean in sections: Start with the door shelves. Remove items, spritz with our Natural Multi-Purpose Kitchen Cleaner, and wipe with a damp cloth.
• Tackle the main compartment: Work one shelf at a time, shifting items as you go. Wipe racks and corners with a damp microfiber or bamboo cloth.

Small, regular cleans make deep cleaning easier.
